Cassava is a staple food for every Caribbean, central American, and South American countries its like Americans us potatoes but as Steve said we can do much more with it also idk when the last time Steve been to Guyana or Suriname but the Natives there are not called Indians Cause there are actual Indian people from India that live in the region they make up almost half the population Black people make up the other half then you have the mixed people, Native peoples, and the South East Asians make up the rest
