This kid said that he didn't understand why native Americans are taking their time in bettering their situation. He said that the residential schools happened like 200 years ago. I had to tell him that my dad grew up in a residential school. Race and race relations are too touchy in North America. My parents are decended from people who've been here for thousands of years, but I feel like a Martian compared to the average Canadian.
