  1. Is it really slave labor if they ask prisoners if they want to join the work program to get out of the jail during the day and perform work for free instead of sitting at the jail in that environment?
I like Joe Rogan but he dropped the ball on that one by implying slavery is simply working for free… slavery was a lot more than just not getting paid for your work.

  2. Umm big difference between a slave and a convict. Prisoners are assigned jobs all the time with minimal pay. For a lot of them, it gives them something to do instead of rotting all day in a cell.

  3. What Bill Maher said was NOT racist, what hillary clinton did IS RACIST and is why she and these other politicians like jeff sessions love privatized prisons for profit and targeting African American communities for stricter law enforcement so they can fill those prisons.

  4. You wanna know how to "feel" about Bill Maher's JOKE? Feel however the fuck you want. You think what he said was racist? Go ahead and feel that way. You want to feel that what he said was in poor taste. Go ahead and feel that way.

You want to have a little more understanding in what he said? Ask a fucking comedian. Ask a comedian who works in a live, on the spot setting. Half will tell you they don't like Bill Maher or his comedy. The other half, and I'll say this just to be safe, will be indifferent about him as a person or his comedy. But white, black, Hispanic, Asian, they will all tell you it was a joke. He is a comedian and he made an on the spot joke. And it backfired. Horribly. But it came from the place of trying to make a joke.

I'm not going to pretend to understand how this would make a person of color FEEL. Probably pretty pissed off. And that's only scratching the surface, I'm sure. But there sure seem to have been a lot of pissed off black people immediately following the show. Hmmmm. Now I'm no scholar, but that would indicate to me that a whole heck of a lot of black people watch his show….

You wanna feel something, go ahead and feel. You wanna understand something, ask the right people. You wanna judge, though? Judge the man by his actions. This is a man who has done NOTHING if not CONSISTENTLY stood up and spoken out for disadvantaged people, especially Americans of color. This is a man who has very often put himself in the company of people of color. This is a man who not only vehemently criticized Obama when he needed to, but also was a fucking HUGE donor to his campaign. I think he was fair to the man, seeing well beyond race, but also standing up for him when it came to the racist shit that people flung at him (see Donald Trump, for example). He has also NEVER been shy about calling racism out and challenging people over it. And he has also protected the word from being flung around flippantly. This man has tackled racism in one of the more adult and honest manners of any prime time celebrity in the last 30 years. Judge him by that!!!!!!

  5. Joe you have made millions of comments about the psychology of other people that you're grossly unqualified to make. the way you people judge every one else so differently than yourself is infuriating.

also as wrong or right as it is, I guarantee you they weren't MADE to work, and that any inmate you asked would jump at the opportunity to go work in the governor's mansion.
