ISIS: Israeli Secret Intelligence Service I use to like Joe when he'd question the propaganda narrative.
Syria was THE place to go to on vacation and party for people living in the middle east before this conflict. The Syrian people are amazing. Very funny, laid back, beautiful and fun.
Assad was harsh, his dad was bad as well. But the people knew how to navigate that type of Governing, the Middle East is not the USA, there is definitely a lack of freedom of speech. To a certain degree the people did dream of the Arab Spring and maybe toppling Assad or at least shaking things up a bit.
But the war we've seen play out over the last 7 years is not about freedom of speech, Islam or anything related to Arab Spring.
IT'S NOT ABOUT HELPING THE SYRIAN PEOPLE GET AWAY FROM ASSAD. It's about dividing up the country, it's about OIL PIPELINES. And who will control them, ie. USA.
If Assad was down with the US and said, yes, Gulf States, build your pipelines through Syria, it's cool, USA you can control this whole thing. There would be no war.
Half a million people displaced, killed, Syria is destroyed. All because of Pipes and how to move oil. It's fucking sick.
Syria it totally fucked, it was beautiful and now it's hell. Welcome to the Middle East.
