  1. To all those saying that Joe and this guy is avoiding the Elephant in the room (the heritability of intelligence), they probably are. Just don't give them too much shit for it, it's likely not malicious, they just don't think most people can maturely handle that knowledge.

I was sceptical of the idea for understandable reasons; I am of the mixed persuasion with a 126 IQ, and the darker side of my family who most often find themselves in STEM feilds or in academia (I assume now that is most likely where I got my wit from), where as the fairer side of my family is primarily comprised of farmers and blue collar workers, my mother being the only one in her family to go to university let alone earn a masters. It just didn't seem likely to me that such examples of black intelligence would even be possible given the frequency of it's heritability. But when I honestly looked at the frequency of black people with my family's intelligence I began to think there might be something to it, but I wasn't convinced.

What sold me in the end ironically was just that; the inability to account for the rare instances high levels of black intelligence, in enviroments which shouldn't foster it. Stark examples like Kelvin Doe, who was born into an illiterate village with an almost intuitive understanding of electrical engineering; nurture can't explain that, only nature can. It's not that black people can't be just as if not far more intellectually capable of those born to other races, it's just that it's less common.
