The very problem arises when you say the guy who invented the widget was the only reason that company worked, someone could argue that all the people who work for that company from the bottom level to C-suits, all keep the company running and generate the revenues for the business. while some of the inventors just hold equity and take their parts from the revenue although they are not involved anymore in the management process. and what the management gets out of the revenue is not even 1% if you check the big companies. Only the CEOs and top managements are given some equity to keep them under control.
let's argue back and say that they invest their money into the business and share the risk but still doesn't justify the gap between employee compensation and shareholders percentage.
I would say if these employees don't work, the company is doomed itself and there can be no progress but capitalism and the free market concept clearly allow employees to be exploited.
(99% of the companies). Most of the companies find loopholes in the law and evade taxes which also shows that, humans with less wealth are being exploited and controlled.
I would argue that all the resources present on this earth from which a company makes its product from oil resources to steel materials, all humans have their right to them. Ok, you have a great idea and you invented something but that doesn't give you free access to every resource in the world. That is not solely your property and so the labor force.
Now capitalism has reached a state where people with resources get rich( rich get richer). No matter how good an invention you make, at some point, you have to give equity to the rich or otherwise, they'll crush you fast with their resources.
so yes capitalism definitely makes the rich richer and people already in control would never let anyone challenge their power and it is a free market (survival of the fittest). So the major worry is the distribution of resources with capitalism while socialism has no problem with the distribution of resources but they have the same problem with the distribution of power.
