this guy first patheticly generalizes some unreasonable claims as "the fundamentals" of "the left" and then goes on to create a red hering arguing against that scientificly illiterate bullshit which he declared to be "the fundamentals" of "the left"…. I never heard anybody on "the left" demanding "equality of outcome" or "there are no genetic differences between people"…. Just that some things that "the right" sees as genetically determined actually might be highly influenced by environmental factors… The same way people on the left do not explain every achievement exclusively due to individual merits but also due to societal contributions…
If there are any people on "the left" who actually think that there are no genetic components or individual merits to successful people's outcomes, then I repeat the words "pathetic generalization".
I despise a debate or conversation using stupid labels such as "the left", "the right" etc., I'd prefer debating ideas…. I thought Joe Rogan would feel the same way…
But sometimes I just cannot fathom how Joe is letting a guest get away with pathetic arguing like the guy in this video does… But then again, I remember Joe stating that we should not criticize capitalism that hard, because it gave us all the devices we now communicate with etc…. first of all… I know, I dont claim, that it is about denying the impact of "science"… But it sure as hell is about ignoring empirical history. Great advancements have never been pushed by private research funding… it has always been public investment into fundamental research… Private investors cannot take on the financial risk inherent to fundamental research with no guaranteed time frame of outcome or any prospective outcome at all… Only after the public financed great scientific breakthroughs, private investors went in to acquire potentially useful patents and commercialize anything with promising business potential.
I love Joe… but he surely is not perfect…. just human 🙂

hopefully you don't mean LIFE when you say "competition they can't win"…..life may have started out as an ANIMAL world, kill or be killed, survival of the fittest, but life SHOULDN'T be a game when supposedly have evolved/changed for the better. If you can't get over looking like life as a game, that's your greed not wanting to be a "loser", something Donald Trump would say…o…and don't forget Charlie Sheen cause he's WINNING….right?…point is we should be looking at people who aren't "successful" and figure out why…if they're lazy, well fine that's their bad, but you HAVE to look at the essence of the system you have in place, if it is based on competition, "you're all fooked"
