I just love guillotines. When are we going to use them again?
This feels like it ignores the history of why we have minimum wage in the first place. Because if the price of living wasn’t an issue and just working for pennies will eventually lead you to better things. Then there would be evidence of it in this country’s history. Instead we have nothing but exploitation.
But how do I live with only 10 cents an hour? How do I pay for gas, rent, food, car etc.? Not to mention that companies have no reason to pay you more than pennies.
He assumes that these low skilled jobs exist in a vacuum.
This would work in a world of perfect fair competition.
Our world is one of collusion, concentrated ownership and administrative capture of government, all based on historical inequalities. Funny he never mentioned any of that.
I would hate to work for this clown.
