This guy couldn't possibly be more smug. He never stops smirking. And never once entertains even the possible notion of being incorrect, on something, ever. Why people are super into smug pricks promoting their smug prick mentality these days is just fuckin weird.
The Tennis story Joe's thinking of is Serena Williams and Venus Williams losing to Karsten Braasch – then ranked 203rd. It went down like this:
– 1998 Australian Open
– That year, Venus was No.5 and Serena was No.20.
– They actually walked into the Men's ATP office to challenge any male player ranked outside of 200. Braasch happened to be there and accepted the challenge.
– Braasch warmed up by drinking two beers, then proceeded to beat Venus 6-2 and Serena 6-1
– Braasch said he went easy on them to "keep it fun", and because he didn't want to look like a jerk for laying a beatdown on the girls (they were 18 and 17 at the time)
– The sisters then revised their boast to any guy outside of 350.
— Braasch they would have no chance against any guy in the top 500
– He further explained that if you watch tennis, you'll see men on average are far better at 1) chasing down corner shots and 2) put much more spin on the ball, making it trickier to return
