So do they think we must all wear our own cultural heritage garb and nothing more? Oops. Turns out my traditional clothing has remnants from other cultures! Because that’s what humans always have done. The vikings had so much jewellry inspired by other cultures for example.
Can you imagine what would happen if italians would start saying that its cultural appropriation to eat pizza and pasta? 😮 and germany would claim back the Hamburger?
You know how you go from Oscar Wilde popularized the proverb, “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.” Too , “it’s offensive cultural appropriation.”
