Service dogs are HIGHLY TRAINED dogs to help people with disabilities navigate the world! However, ESAs are very different! They’re not allowed everywhere, you can’t bring an ESA to the movies, restaurants, coffee shops, libraries, schools, ect…! Only service dogs can again, due to all the training a service dog must go through. Anyone who tries to bring an ESA into a restaurant is “full of it” or have one of those phony letters from those websites you pay $40 for!
"But who will support the dog's emotions? Sooner or later the support animal will get sick of your shit and will need its own support animal, and that one will need another… And eventually you'll have a nervous social structure akin to Maslow's hierarchy of pet peeves… At that point, dogs will go from 'man's best friend' to an 'oppressed minority'. Try asking one of those poor mutts how it's feeling, I bet the answer will always be the same: 'rough, rough'… 'Who's a good boy? No one knows anymore'".
Can’t we just have separate restaurants for people with dogs
I understand actually trained ESA for military related PTSD, but way too many use it as a pass to bring their pet into public spaces. It makes it harder for actual service animals to work.
