Unhealthy lifestyles. Its like bill mayer said, you cant eat how much shitty food as you want and expect society to cover the bills. If you are born with type 1 its a completly different matter, those people cant help it. Type 2 however is in 90% of the cases caused by unhealthy living. And in those cases, they should either take responsibility by changing their lifestyle or have surgery if they are not up to it. Or they should just have to accept the consequenses. You cant hit yourself in the head with a hammer over and over and expect sympathy, you are being an idiot.
Type 1 diabetic here. Don't put us under the same microscope as type 2s. We didn't have a choice in our diagnosis, many type 2s DO! Also type 2s can reverse their situation, WE CAN'T.
Why does it cost so much to treat diabetes? Better get your company's in check. People are getting filthy rich from selling sugar to you then treating the disease from unhealthy diets
Type 2 diabetes is not a chronic disease though.
It would be really great to see Joe talk to some diabetic or other chronic disease patient advocacy groups. It would really help people see the reality and severity of the chronic disease chrisis in our country. Look deeper into diabetes please, Type 2 diabetes isn’t always related to diet and exercise and being “fat. Type 2 diabetes can be genetic or caused by other factors. Also please research type 1 diabetes deeper!! People need more education on these diseases!!the insulin crisis in our country is terrible. Diabetics are dying every day due to the monopoly of insulin, they cannot afford to live.
