Statistics don't work on individuals
So funny how this guy just completely leaves out that the only reason healthcare is that expensive in America & continues to get even more expensive is because of our predatory for profit healthcare system & the fact that America’s obsession with capitalism as already being inherently perfect makes it so our politicians refuse to stop being openly bribed by healthcare lobbyists to never do anything even remotely close to nationalization of our healthcare industry so that way Medical care in this country stops costing 10 times what it does for the Same exact medicine or treatment or surgery or whatever in any normal at least semi-sane country where they don’t live by the belief that anything less than allowing corporate cartels to completely puppeteer their government is tantamount to communism. God I hate conservatives & liberals so much cause I already know some short bus riding bootlicking drooling dipshit genocide supporting hi+Ier ass braindead dumb @$$ right winger is gonna say “if you don’t like it here then leave🤓” think that they made some sick burn when really they just prove that they’re exactly what’s wrong with this country, everyone’s happy to be wage slaves & won’t dare allow you to ever question if maybe there’s something wrong with the fact that a bunch of billionaires in suits get to legally & openly bribe our politicians to ensure that you’ll be put into crushing life ruining debt if you don’t have insurance & ever have any kind of serious health issue that requires medication, a surgery/procedure & or a lot of specialized care. when someone suggests that our tax money should be going to pay for a single unified nationalized non-private not for profit healthcare system (except make the overwhelming majority of funding actually mostly come from billionaires unlike the disgustingly evil & crushing system this country has always had where the majority of IRS income is from middle & lower class people), if that makes you mad just know that you’re like exactly a brainwashed cult member who’s been hypnotized by our education system, media & politicians into genuinely believing it’s raining while the 1% piss on your head.
I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes this year and its hard not to feel like a statistic. This is a very expensive disease to treat because it requires so many different consumable products. It's more than just insulin It's also glucose monitors and pump supplies that need to be constantly replaced. Even if insurance pays for most of it I'm still just a paypig for big pharma for life. This is pretty much as good as it gets for type 1 diabetics. The alternative is leaving the disease untreated and dying a slow and horrific death.
