The only real issue I have/had with The Pumpkins was their unnecessary change in wardrobe. You guys did it backwards: you got where you are wearing normal clothes and your sound stayed mostly the same but with massive success you started dressing like… goths or vampires? It's silly more than anything.
I spoke with the drummer of a famous band from my area and he told me they make the money from touring. He broke it down for me and said that when an album is sold by the time every one gets paid he made less than one penny. He said they only made money from touring because once the venue, roadies, setup folks are paid the band splits what's left from the ticket sales. At that point they were famous in our area and had put out a few top selling albums.

Interesting that Rogan acts so incredulous when Corgan says less than 10% of musicians/bands have a successful career when Rogan KNOWS that only about 3% of actors ever make a living strictly from ACTING.
