The Fairy Queen of Elphame was implicated in several witchcraft trials in history, but was she actually real? Or just a scapegoat for those accused of sorcery?

Fairys were a way of explaining things they didn't understand like religion. Like autistic kids who got left in the woods to die etc…
The last person to use fairy abduction to get off if murder was amazingly in 1895 in Ireland Bridget Cleary…. Her husband beat and burnt her to death but was cleared because he genuinely thought she'd been abducted by fairies and the thing he was living with was a fairy put in his wife's place. At least that's the excuse he used and they bought because he'd slept outside a known fairy Fort for 2 days so obviously must be true…
I personally think that the queen of elphame is interesting and from my perspective I think it’s very possible she did/does exist
I think if someone approached me claiming to be an elfin queen I'd probably wonder what mental illness she was suffering from. If she did something to prove she was said elfin queen I'd probably think "Great, now I'm hallucinating. Time to check in to the psych ward.".
Good video, it was very informative and interesting, I know I'd say no to joining the queen of elphame's court, never mess around with the fae.
I believe in fairies
