Joe Louis consistently was lacking money after leaving the ring. He even tired to wrestle to earn money. I saw him wrestle and he would just throw his opponents out of the ring 😅 lmao. But seriously, he tried for a comeback in boxing versus Rocky Marciano. Louis trained a lot for that memorable fight against Marciano in Oct. 1951. Louis felt like he could beat Marciano, but it was proven that Marciano was the better fighter. In round 8, Marciano knocked out the great Joe Louis. Marciano really felt bad about this, but Louis said no heart feelings. They became good friends for life. Two great champions!
