I am a fan of Abby and support Palestinian rights, but most settlers dont just walk in and take over homes in Sheik Jarah. They go throough a court system.which uses.a.racist law that allows Jews that can show they owned a home before 1948 to take it back. The same law does not apply to Palestinian Israelis. If Palestinians can show they owned a home before 48 or 67, they cannot get the homes back.
When Jordan took over the West Bank, in a deal with UNWRA, Palestinians prepared to give up their refugee rights were offered land in Shiek Jarah by Jordan and a home was.built for them by UNWRA. After the.67 war, Israel agreed.to uphold the ownership for these residents.
