Dear Doug Bachelor,
How many signs follow you, sir . Do you cast out devils ? Do you speak in new tongues ? Do you pick up serpents ? Do you see the sick recover when you touch them ? Does poison fail to hurt you ?
If none of those signs are following you, then you do not believe Jesus and you are not a biblical believer either.
But because charity edifies, suffers long and shows kindness and it covers a multitude of sins – most believers including myself will accept you as a brother and even respect you for your studies of the Bible. Even if Ashbury isn't a revival by your standard, it was a real one for those that attended there. I would define revival as an event that revives a dying soul – you are mixing that with the born-again experience. When christians that had become lukewarm or cold are once again coming out on fire for God – that is revival and a good thing and it has to be God involved.
Really!!!!!!!!!! And your a pastor?? Really!!!!!! I have a question, DID YOU actually spend one hour, let alone one day, at Asbury during the out-pouring of the Holy Spirit?? Perhaps you're NOT familiar with Holy Scripture. Mathew ch. 7, v. 1 thru 5, "Judge NOT lest ye be judged" and ends with "Thou hypocrite", that's you it seems!! You know, there were other pastors who attended and just SAT there and observed and enjoyed what was transpiring before their eyes, even Catholic Priests!!
So tell me, are you one of those pastors that showed up trying to inject YOUR God, or interpretation of God, and was turned away??
Amen!
All this comes before the true revival! May the Lord pour out His Holy Spirit upon all flesh as He promised!

His ways is not ours ways His thoughts are not His ways God is not a respector of person He only ask us to serve Him in spirit and in truth and worship yes we can decern you have edify God's people not ypur opinion just praise triumph and give God glory
