The issue is not deregulation. Its not enough of it. If the barrier to competition is reduced for providing broadband access, it would result in more competition locally and that leads to better choices for the customers.
After net neutrality was repealed, the 1 GB AT&T plan became the 20 GB plan and the price went from $90 to $60, and it's faster all around. Sorry, the progressive warning siren is wrong here.
