The Bible doesn't mention Adam and Eve (or anyone else) saying anything about such sacrifice, or about showing gratitude.
Note:
It's important to know what the Bible really says.
Adam and Eve did not tell Cain and Abel to make their sacrifices. The Bible only says that they made sacrifices, and Cain's sacrifice is mentioned first.
Genesis 4
3And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. 4And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering: 5But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
I think you have added content to the story that is not from the Bible.
