Cain sacrificed only the meager scraps and fruits least worthy to sacrifice to God. Not to mention, his own pride was his own doing. He believed, due to him being the older brother, due to him being the "hardest working" of the family, that he should've been the one to be favored by God. Pride comes before the fall. As was the case when Heylel fell from grace.
Cain and Abel both belong to Eve. Satan is the father of Cain. Adam fathered Abel and Seth.
