I'd advise young people interviewing at companies to consider the age and maturity of the company along with tactical things like salary, benefits, etc. Young companies run by the founders are likely to be less structured, allowing more creativity at the cost of greater risk of failure. Older companies will be run by risk-averse managers who value procedure and consistency- which is not exciting but is more secure- until the market changes and management lacks the creativity to adapt.
In an era where there’s zero excuse to define yourself by such simplistic extraneous random circumstances, more and more people do so, and actually embrace their deep slumber.

Syllicon valley leans to the left? Have you not seen the multitude of terrible things they've done in the name of profit which is classic right wing behaviour that's destroyed the west for so long. Tribalism is often caused by right wing people up above setting up a toxic environment which is made for a few types of people while ostracising everyone else, and the left then fight against that get demonized. Right wingers want to preserve the world they know and benefit from, when the left come along and say hang on a minute such and such isn't right, the right wing come out in their droves to discredit and smear them. JP supports the oil barons who have spent 3 decades pouring billions in to sowing doubt about climate change, to me that is right wing behaviour, and clearly he hates the left much more than the right, im guessing bcs the left challenged his views.
