Is this effect due to culture or biological differences? He alluded to biological at the end with comparing to chimp. Its probably a mix of both.
This is annoying. He has pointed out the differences between men and women without acknowledging why these differences might be there. Perhaps men are raised to be more aggressive, told they are more aggressive and taught to withhold from expressing their emotions. Women are typically raised to be "nicer", and generous. Peterson is talking about the "What" and not the "Why".
Women want their cake and eat it to. They want everything. No limits until there are consequences and responsibilities that goes with it. I want your job and mine. And I want you to have mine and to want my responsibility. Now when there are consequences that comes from me playing with the bull dozer, crane, tanks, piloting,…you absorb it all. its your fault.
Men and women have next to nothing in common, but there is nothing wrong with that. It doesn't make one superior to the other.
Men and women are alike in a lot of ways, and different in a lot of ways. It's not that hard of a concept to understand that not only are there biological factors that differentiate us, but also social ones as well. It's a combination. Men and women have different experiences in life because of the way society treats each gender respectively. That in tandem with the biological factors creates the diversity we see. Yes, some things are more biological and other things more social.
I can't for the life off me understand how there are some people who just simply don't understand this.
