Barry Seal was blown away because of a ruling from a Louisiana Judge. The judge wouldn't play ball with the DEA and the Florida US Attorney's Office, which had arranged in advance protective custody for Seal because he was cooperating, but that was predicated on that judge. The Feds assumed the judge would grant thier request, but they were blind-sided when the judge ruled that Seal had to report to a half way house, rather than protective custody. This ruling is/was a matter of public record, so anyone looking for Seal, would find this out rather quickly. That's why it was only a matter of a couple of days or weeks until two Colombian hitmen (who spoke little english) were able to find him, and blow him away.
(BTW 1- When Seal was shot to death, it was February, 1986. George H.W. Bush was Vice President so guess what?
His phone number – at the White House – was listed in the Phone Book. So having his number in his pocket, doesn't prove shit, unless we know what number it was. Was it a private number? And if so, can that be confirmed that number belonged to George Bush? And if it was – what difference does it make? We already know Seal was working with North and CIA guys, Bush used to be the Director of the CIA. Maybe Seal had his private number, maybe not. In either scenario, it doesn't prove jack shit.)
(BTW 2 – Gary Webb and Robert Parry both looked into the connection between Mena AK and Bill Clinton. According to Parry, there's no evidence to support it. He pointed out that the primary source of these allegations [originally] came from one of the former state troopers Troopergate who had an obvious axe to grind with Bill Clinton. They were then amplified by the "Arkansas Project". A thorougly discredited right-wing smear campaign. )
100% Agree with the notion that the murders of those two teenagers was most likely because they saw something they should not have. Any suggestion that someone in the White House, or in Little Rock sanctioned a hit on two high school kids in advance is totally insane. But, did the goverment cover it up? Probably. Sure. If they did – it was Arkansas acting at the request of the Federal Government. However no one in public office wants any connection to a murder, especially two teenagers. Not even Nixon had that in mind when he had his "enemies list". He just wanted to destroy reps.
What Joe says is true. Barry had George HW Bush personal number and even met Bill Clinton
