I woukd love to see you have Blaire White on again. She's recently been a lot more open about her childhood and how being victimized by her father and the trauma possibly had a major impact on her transitioning. I think that is something often not talked about when it comes to trans people and is a lot more common than people realize. Its become more common to speak about in the gay community that childhood trauma is a common theme of changing ones sexuality. Now is it definitive in EVER situation of gay/trans…of course not. Could it be other factors, absolutely. But the sheer number of people who have been victimized as children who transition or are gay is impossible to ignore.
And then you have those cases where its pushed on them by parents, peer pressure from friends, teachers, social media etc. Or those who are simply confused and still finding themselves, going through puberty with hormonal changes flooding in like crazy who will figure themselves out naturally with time and grow out of that confusion.
Blaire is a very intelligent person, a very open person who will talk about ANYTHING no matter how difficult, I think she is a great voice for the trans community because she's simply honest…the good, bad and ugly truth of it all.
I really appreciate that this podcast barely touched on transgenderism. I think I limit Blaire as a person in my mind to just "that great transwoman", but she's so much more interesting than that.
