What are they doing? It is a quandry. But James Lindsay made a really interesting point. He said that he believes the woke movement is based in identity politics which comes out of critical theory… which is all rooted in marxist theory. He claims marxism functions like a religious ideology. Marxists have stated in their own writing that the REACTION triggered through their activism IS THE GOAL. So if you follow this logic… its not really about gaining acceptance or even helping lgbt people (or blacks or latinos or any other minority group for that matter). It is simply about creating a reaction FROM mainstream society that they deem as "evil" in their world view. Mainstream society being western capitalism built on racism and white supremacy. They are triggering a reaction so THAT is the goal. They then use the reaction as a tool. They go back to their tribe and say "look, see how they react, see how they hate you? See how upset they are by you?". It then feeds those brainwashed into this marxist theology to push harder and harder in the name of 'overcoming fascist oppression". It just goes around and around. Society MUST react… but then the reaction becomes fuel for the activists. Just goes round and round.
