I have helped others most my life. Yet we all become depressed from time to time. Life is not easy. Especially now with our current administration
Many other cultures still teach that it's better to give than to receive. It's a deeper feeling when you help another vs helping yourself. In the U.S. we very much feel like, "I would be happy if I had that thing I want."
