  1. the American infrastructure plays a major role in creating separating, lonely and asocial lives, second most contributing factor would be social networks, which seemingly connect people, but in fact, they are doing quite the opposite. No coincidence that the loneliness epidemic onset dated to early 2000s….. My mum came to visit me in California (LA) from Europe (Slovakia). She is used to constant interaction with people, neighbors, friends, everybody know everyone, they help each other, etc. First thing she said when we took her from LAX to the house and she got out of car, she said: Where are all the people? All I see/hear is loud cars and empty streets…where are the neighbors? Where is ANYBODY? I said they are driving and then they are at home binge-watching Netflix or browsing social networks on phones, kids are gaming on computers or chilling in the safety of their backyards. She said she would die here. Nevertheless, she enjoyed the visit but after 2 weeks I could tell she was ready to go home. And slowly I am realizing so am I…..

  2. You think it was bad 6 years ago, it’s so much worse now. Loneliness is such an awful feeling, I’ve been going through it for way too long. Maybe I’ll find her one day…

  3. Elkhart county, LaGrange, IN was so wild 2 me 1st time i delivered that way, coming from Chicago. Amish do have trucks, electricity and all that. They just use it minimally. Lots of neonazi stuff in bars that way also. Such a different world, then see normal life in the same town right next to it. Wild gettin caught in traffic behind a horse n carriage 2 lol
