As an actual clinical sociopath, I find it disturbing that the terms sociopath (and psychopath) is misunderstood as some kind of heartless predator. It doesn't mean what people think it means. It seems like it's thought to be someone without any care for others who will use others for their own benefit with no regard for consequences. That's the EXTREME end of it but doesn't apply to most.
