Who else’s phone went to Siri when they said “hey Siri”
I will NOT own one of those Alexa or Echo things, it's bad enough that my iphone is listening to me. this happens to me all the time, you don't have to even do a search, sit & talk about something w/your ph in the room and here come the sponsored ads on ig, fb, etc. siri is a dumb bitch and i have her turned off, the sponsored ads still show up but much less 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
I was talking about how my anxiety was getting to be to much with my friend then i checked my Instagram 2 hours later and there was a sponsored add for a mental health place down the street from me
Anyone else feel like the world is becoming to much? I dont think I can stay sane. I dont want to be on this planet anymore. I'm getting real creeped out by all of this. There is just so much that doesnt make sense. And so much wierd unexplainable shit that racks my mind. And they want me to focus on school. They want me to focus on life and friendships and jobs. But dood. This is insane. All of it. Are history. The wierd dystopia we are already in. The connected mind of the internet. The threats towards your mental health. All the fucking questions no one wants to ask. All the answers that make no sense. The concept of right and wrong. I just want to be out in the woods where I dont know nothing. But I've been in a box my whole fucking life now. Everyone is. They try to leave them selfs by acting and playing these characters online. We are all just trying to feel human again. I'm honestly afraid. It feels like we're all leaving are bodies and living up in a fantasy created by the internet and the things we've been told. I just want to come back down. I just want to be a kid again where the only thing I knew is I want to go to McDonalds or go buy a new game. It all used to be so different. I miss my life so fucking much.
This isn't uncommon. If you're on the same network, you will have the same public IP address. In this scenario, the analytics and tracker frameworks are seeing you as one entity; not two. All devices on my network route all web traffic and DNS through a Raspberry-Pi running PI-Hole (https://pi-hole.net/) and Privoxy (https://www.privoxy.org/). This has completely removed any trace of personalized ads. In fact I don't see ads at all. Just empty boxes where they would normally be.
Now, having said that, I would never suggest someone enable a service that literally listens to you 24/7 as long as the device is on. Turn off "Hey Siri" and don't use Alexa or the like.
