Yoel was such a sensation in the German wrestling scene when he started competing. It got a lot of media coverage from what I remembered. They called him " Die kubanische Perle" which translates to "The Cuban Perl". By accident, Yoel met a German family who also happened to be wrestlers and therefore they took him under his wings.
