This might not cover everyone, but I personally think that ANY "judge" should have a history in the game they are judging.. Those who truly study the game, and can pass testing, might deserve a pass… However, who the fawk knows better than a fighter to judge and realize the minutia of a fight… I'm no pro fighter… However, if I were to walk into a ring / cage / octo, I'd definitely would trust a ref with real fight experience over the likes of muzzagatti…
