they're talking about MUAY THAI, not kickboxing. change the video title please. It is far different in origin, intricacy, and style compared to kickboxing which has erroneously become an umbrella term.
American kicking boxing is a derivative of Karate and Western Boxing. Japanese style kickboxing being more influenced by Karate and Muay Thai. Muay Thai dates back to the mid 16th century and utilizes 8 points of striking. It's important to distinguish this imo.
