Donald Trump set the initial agreement and timetable for the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. In February 2020, the Trump administration signed a deal with the Taliban known as the Doha Agreement. This agreement outlined the conditions for the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan, setting a May 1, 2021 deadline for the complete pullout. There was no workable plan and it created problems for everyone who had to live up to his actions. Without a complete plan, how would anyone know whether that was enough time to get out correctly?
