  1. UFC died for me a couple of years back, I went from watching every single fight live to completely switching off, the minute it became more about the beef and not about the skill it was an instant turn off

  2. Joe rogan acting like he knows marketing.. "I don't think they market to anyone, they're just marketing" Even a low level market book will tell you thats not true, the UFC has moved away from providing the hardcore fans premium content, and they throw fighters out there with no build up whatsoever hoping they catch on. Whereas, before we knew the guys in the cage, even people like koschek, forrest, rampage, tito, machida, henderson, florian, and who were not necessarily all champions were well known to us. We knew who they were, what they sounded like, their personalities. Today, the product is more diluted. I use to watch old bellator matches and laugh because the quality from skill level to endurance was simply so far from the UFC. Whereas now some of the guys on UFC main cards could be interchangeable with bellator fighters, and it wouldn't even matter because we don't know who they are. By continuing to hold fake interim belts, and cm punk fights (on the main card) it seems like they are trying to attract more casual fans, while sacrificing some loyal ones. This is evident in the year following the sale. Average ppv #'s are down 17%. I love the fights either way, but if Joe thinks he's helping dana by defending their "throw it out and hope it stick strategy" he's wrong. And oh yeah he was wrong about Ngannou as well. Who's the champ son??
