I went through it back in 1977.
I have one regret in life…. i should have joined the army in april of 05 when i was 20 yrs old…i needed that type of training and discipline maybe even combat experience and i missed my generations war….. at least i would have a reason for having anxiety, and tourettes, and ocd…
We do something similar in my country in basics but, with a gasmask. Then we have to drink from a bottle, jump around and it fucking sucks. But for us it was to make sure we knew how to use a gasmask correctly. I've done it 3 times due to nationalguard training after my service ended.

20:15 The BUDS instructors aren’t supposed to get closer than 6 feet of the students with CS gas, and for not longer than 15-20 seconds. In this case, they were much closer than 6 feet, and exposed the students to 1 full minute of gas. One student was seen on the video actually passed out.
