Unless they can find where Trumps lawyers paid Stormy with campaign funds, this is going no where as far as Trump is concerned. Tying any private pay off money to the election simply because of the Stormy Daniels story potentially being damaging for his campaign will not stick in a court. And even then, there's the part where you need evidence that Trump was aware that the money he used to pay her were campaign funds.
