  1. Most recycling burns more fuel and creates more environmental harm than simply landfilling waste and making new product. Most recycling also costs a lot and needs to be funded by taxpayers. The only recycling that is worth it is stuff they will pay you for – aluminum, copper, steel…

  2. the recycling is with a modification.
in sweden we have plastic and aluminum and glass as payment for recycling. and this is the recycling most are talking about, to sort out ones trash.
sweden is crazy good at this. but the people of sweden does not do it as much, basicly we recycle what we get money for, cans, sodas, etc.

there is a small % of swedes who recycle other materials, like batteries, lightbulbs, and compost.
thats why they say we are at 50%, but we as a country, recycle alot more. sweden is about 3rd as eco-friendly countries. and it has alot to do with cleaning up our landfills, and even taking care of other countries garbage, we turn it into energy, and we deal with the waste. so its not affecting the enviorment.

the standard garbage area in any living area basicly has 10-20bins, so you can sort plastic, clear glass, colored glass, metals, batteries, electronics, paper, cardboard, compost, lightbulbs, and some places even uses hard plastic, and soft plastic. and then the unsortable trash that mainly is burned in a eco-friendly factory that will produce energy.

    that leaves very little waste.
and all major and most small cities have a garbage area, often they used to be landfills, but now they are used to sort everything, before you had to pay to throw away your trash, but now its free because we sort it. and there is usually some kind of help central, that you can turn in old clothes or furniture to be re-sold or given away. instead of burning or trashing it.
