self driving cars are cool and all, but I don't think it's worth giving up all our freedom to go where we want, when we want, to get them. One of these days you'll get in your absolutely safe box on 4 wheels, punch in your destination, and think back to that time in your life when you could get in, turn the key, and just GO. No clear destination. Nothing but the open road in a machine that YOU controlled yourself. Yeah, self driving cars will be safe… but the trade-off will be a really great feeling lost, and also the loss of even more of our self-reliance.
No they arent , they can't drive in the snow / rain with any accuracy. Any crashes would leave the company up for lawsuits since the car caused it , not the driver .
