  1. I'm such a great fan Joe!! I'm so thankful you have this point if view about confederate monuments… xoxox💓💓💓 I live in the South, i have paternal grandparents that personally knew Jefferson Davis and his wife. I don't know if my great grands were racist, but I do know that I'm sick and tired of the perpetually DUPED's idolatry of the CSA !!! The CSA was nothing more than a slave owner's republic, created by and for slave owners, and the poor man cannon fodder!! This isn't to say that poor people didn't own slaves (usually as a jake of all trade servants or even like a pet as ive read many former slave self narratives of their former slave lives; much of it horrific). The sex slave trade even more horrid (Women, men and children)!!! 55% of Mississippi's families and 59% of South Carolina's families own one or more slaves according to the 1860s census, but many slaves were inherited or passed down, without cost as of course slave babies didn't cost a dime to that owner so many were gifted to family or child by inheritance after death.
I personally could careless what they do with CSA monuments, but museums are ok, if like you say, the history is not taught as CSA patriotism. As you state, they were all erected 30- 70 years after the war, the great majority during the civil rights period to assert the ideology of racial superiority and caste systems, however as the first went up in the late 1880s so did the rights of POC begin to be stripped away. It is such a sad and cruel chain of events that former slaves were granted all rights by amendments 13,14,15 by 1870 and even many became thriving business people and land owners because they ran everything for free prior to the civil war. Then by the late 1880 their rights and even businesses and properties were being stripped away. No schools, no hospital, no nothing at their desposal, while whites were given government subsidies for all public works. The only thing they couldn't do under CSA monuments was make them slaves again, but lynchings and de-population by covert genocide was the rule of the day. It's speaks volumes of the malevolence humans can project upon other humans.
Whats so dissappointing is all the southern fake ass Republicans who are pro monuments… the true party of Lincoln would have never been pro CSA monuments. They belittle Democrats, yet southern Republicans are the Jacksonian Democrat leftest of yore!!!…wolf in sheep's clothing… it's a "fuck you" to Lincoln. I was a Republican, a real party of Lincoln Republican …now I'm an Independent.

  2. The rise of Confederates monuments was first and foremost the result of the power and influence of the UDC. They reached their peak in 1911, the 50th anniversary of the war. They steadily declined until after WW2 for a brief period none were erected. In 1948 they started again spurred on this time by segregationists. This second wave peaked in 1964. It wasn't intended to intimidate blacks but to urge whites to push back against desegregation and civil rights. It was seen as a way to wave their own 'bloody shirts' as Radical Republicans had done during reconstruction.

  3. All these comments saying how dumb this woman is…yet her and Rogan are agreeing on everything during this conversation. So are they both dumb, or do you just hate when a woman talks about things you don't agree with? Man, people are fucking pathetic.
