I feel like we’re starting to see the effects of Joe’s brain damage these days as his podcast has deteriorated
will i get cte after 2 yeaers of amateur boxing with some fights and ocassional hard sparring or not?
I am very happy I didn't start muay thai at 16. During that era in the gyms it was as Joe is saying. Insane. No shinpads btw. People throwing elbows without protective gear. Broken noses. Cuts. It was horrible.
Prichard colon 🎯 bro it’s sad asf. Terrell William illegally hit him in the back of the head multiple times putting him in a comma AFTER the fight was over. Was a beautiful young man. Fucking sad fuck Terrell Williams
What a little daime bramage? Ah don't worry, they signed a deal for money. A little brain damage is not going to stop your life. If you read books, you will combat a badly concussed brain.
I still think Boxing is more dangerous over the career of a pro MMA fighter. 12 rounds of getting pounded is worse that a bad KO in the UFC. There more serious injuries happen in MMA, but that punch drunk symptom is a hazard of Boxing. MMA guys don't hit the way these boxers do. Boxers rock your skull over and over again. It is a head ache from the beginning of a Boxing match. 12 rounds is still too much.
You guys are talking about the stinky leg effect. One of my favorite things to see in Boxing. They try and gather themselves and they are not there yet and the Boxing ref doesn't do anything. He counts to 8 and let's you back in there.
