Deu 28:68 “And יהוה shall bring you back to Mitsrayim in ships, by a way of which I said to you, ‘YOU ARE NEVER TO SEE AGAIN.’ And there you shall be sold to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one to buy.”
May I suggest that the key to this verse is – You are never to see again. This is what YHWH said to Israel when they came out of Egypt. This means that it is speaking of a way that they have seen before. With the slave trade these people had never seen that way before. Therefore I don't believe it can be speaking of the slave trade from Africa.
Also in my opinion chapter 28 is speaking of end times.

If we calculate the walking distance between the Euphrates river and any nearest town in the USA, will it prove your suggestion? That America is a year and a half’s journey from beyond the river Euphrates? Considering that the children of Israel would move in numbers with their live stock, children and pregnant women; having to camp for sabbaths, feasts and seasons such as when it’s too hot to move or it’s raining or make room for any delays.
Also, historically speaking, who were the first settlers in the so called Americas right now?
Scripture does not lie. We must test and prove everything and not simply suggest our opinions in an attempt to justify our personal perception.
