  1. For "hell" to be real, the belief in the immortality of the soul has to be true. What does the Bible show as to what the soul is ? This: At Genesis 2:7, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And the Lord God formed man of the slime of the earth: and breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became a living soul."

So, what happened here with the creation of Adam ? That God, taking the elements of the earth and forming him, "breathed into his face the breath of life, and man became (or IS and NOT put within) a living soul", for the word soul, Hebrew nephesh (H5315), Greek psyche (G5590), means "a breather, a breathing creature". Thus, before Adam was "breathed into his face the breath of life", he was a DEAD soul, or non-breathing creature.

At Deuteronomy 12:20, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "When the Lord thy God shall have enlarged thy borders (for the new nation of Israel), as he hath spoken to thee, and thou wilt eat the flesh (or meat) that thy soul desireth:" So, the soul longs to eat meat.

At Leviticus 23:29, 30, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Every soul that is not afflicted on this day, shall perish from among his people: And every soul that shall do any work, the same will I destroy ("destroy", Hebrew 'abad (H6), meaning "perish, vanish, be destroyed") from among his people." So, the soul can be destroyed.

At Jeremiah 2:34, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "And in thy skirts (or the city of Jerusalem seen as a wicked woman) is found the blood of the souls of the poor and innocent? not in ditches have I found them, but in all places, which I mentioned before." So, the soul has blood.

At Isaiah 53:12, of Jesus Christ, it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Therefore will I distribute to him very many, and he shall divide the spoils of the strong, because he hath delivered his soul unto death (see Matt 26:38), and was reputed with the wicked: and he hath borne the sins of many, and hath prayed for the transgressors." So Jesus soul died, and means that all souls or "breathers" dies when they stop breathing.

So, up to this point, what has been learned ? That the soul is us as "a breathing creature", that longs to eat meat, that has blood, that dies, that can be destroyed." So, is there an "immortal soul" ? The answer is NO. Thus, there can be no "hell" as taught by the churches, for there is NOTHING to torment, for at Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10, it states according to the Catholic Douay Version:

"For the living know that they shall die, but the dead know nothing more, neither have they a reward any more: for the memory of them is forgotten. Their love also, and their hatred, and their envy are all perished, neither have they any part in this world, and in the work that is done under the sun……."

"Whatsoever thy hand is able to do, do it earnestly (while alive): for neither work, nor reason, nor wisdom, nor knowledge shall be in hell ("grave", King James Version, Hebrew sheol (H7585), meaning "concealed, unseen", and almost always means the grave), whither thou art hastening."

And at Psalms 145:2-4 (Psalms 146:3, 4 in other Bibles), it reads according to the Catholic Douay Version: "Put not your trust in princes: In the children of men, in whom there is no salvation. His spirit (or life force, like electricity for an appliance) shall go forth, and he shall return into his earth: in that day all their thoughts shall perish."

So, what further has been learned ? That the soul dies, that upon death, "the dead know nothing more", that "in that day all their thoughts shall perish", ceasing to exist, becoming as God told Adam upon his rebellion in the garden of Eden (Gen 3:1-6):

"Because thou hast hearkened to the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldst not eat, cursed is the earth in thy work; with labour and toil shalt thou eat thereof all the days of thy life. Thorns and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herbs of the earth."

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread till thou return to the earth, out of which thou wast taken: for dust thou art, and into dust thou shalt return (returning to same state of non-existence, decaying back into "dust" as he was before being created as a "living soul" or "breather")."(Catholic Douay Version)

So, where does this place "hell fire", purgatory and immortality of the soul ? As falsehoods that MUST be "put into the trash".(see 2 Cor 6:14-18)

  2. Many teachers say oh you won’t ever go to hell with Jesus and just lose rewards but the Bible said these people will not inherit the kingdom of God. I’m a bit confused on this because some people say once truly saved saved and then some people say endure unto the end. But we have to just trust Jesus abide in him and he will get us to the end. He will not leave or forsake us.

  3. Arabian historiaan on kirjoitettu eräs tapaus vuodelta 638. (Bible Study Monthly, 1978, sivu 57)
