  1. You need to do more research on Alaska's ANWR oil. ANWR is a 19 million acre nature preserve, bigger then a lot of US states.

    The oil companies are only interested in one area of it called area 1002 roughly a 1.2 million acre area thats estimated to hold 7 – 20 billion barrels of oil.

    So if we let them drill on it this nature preserve will still be 18 million acres and despite what everyone thinks, drilling is a pretty clean operation and doesn't really stop wildlife in anyway.

    And yes accidents have happened and were cleaned up, but its like refusing to fly because occasionally airplanes crash. If you had any idea how many active oil sites are pumping oil daily without incidents it would give you a better perspective of risk vs reward.

    You talk about how others will profit but normal people wont ever see anything. Opening this would help us massively on being even more independent on oil and cause gas prices to drop essentially helping everyone in the country.
