Meyer makes some great arguments
My experience with the creator God has been a bit different. It has been cerebral as theirs has been but my Christian experience has been more personal I think because of the indwelling of the Creator God's spirit within my heart. Two hours into the post, the back and forth of these two brothers has not impressed me with anything approaching the indwelling of God's spirit. They describe external things happening to them. Not hearing of any spiritual changes. What of their hearts? What revelations given to them or received by them. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong. I sound judgmental right? An hour left in the conversation so I'll chill for now and hear them out.
You dont get it Joe! God made us to have FREE WILL and thats why there is SIN in the world that started with Adam and Eve. Do you love your wife Joe? Did she make you love her? Did she hold a gun to your head? NO! You have a choice. The same way you LOVE your kids is the same way that God loves you. You have a choice to believe in God or NOT. If you choose NOT too then you live for the rest of eternity apart from GOD. GOD didnt decide that you did! If you believe you will receive ever lasting life in the presence of Christ thats why its called the GOOD NEWS.
