Maybe folks have better alternatives? Can't expect everyone to wanna join out of patriotism, you can't force patriotism on someone. I've never known anyone who joined the military who had a long list of other options. Not saying they don't exist, I just don't know any.
I know you military people are all about "noble sacrifice" and "giving all for your country." Here's an idea: why not skip the military and work as a civilian to help prevent the need to make sacrifices? Then you will truly be of service and save lives in the process.😊
