My neighbor Ruphus woodring was a soldier at that time he said to me before he passed that he was the main guy that found Hitler the rivers was red from all dead bodies and he crawled a couple days on his stomach until he reached Hitler. What my family talked about all too often, is the force compliance. German’s where expected to attend the mass meetings and respond well. They had hell to pay if they didn’t. Who were the enforcers? Those that were being talked about in this episode. You either followed with will acceptance or by forced compliance. Fascism didn’t allow for freedom of thought or speech.
