Focus on a low sugar and carb diet also, as these can be a breeding ground for bad bacteria. Anything else in a lot of cases is a bandage imo.
    Therapy may be important also.

If you think you need to feel sorry for yourself your already losing and will never get ahead. Pick you pants up put the suspenders on and start fucking doing experiencing and living along the way.
