  1. We've never had a case where drugs caused schizophrenia or they a case where they wouldn't have developed it anyway… this is utter rubbish, it's just 100% not testable because you can't realistically isolate the variables (i.e. you can NEVER know if the person WOULD HAVE developed it anyway, unless you have a time machine and can check on the alternative timeline). People just believe what they want to believe and drug addicts of any kind are the worst bunch for that. How many people (not just the companies) defended cigarettes and denied that these things w
ere bad for you or that smoking around other people or children was bad, and they could give you any bullshit study just to support that. I'm no better, I love a drink and if that was getting banned I'd probably do the same but let's not kid ourselves. Alcohol can cause liver problems, and weed can and is way more of a fucked up drug than people give it credit for, but because it's not hip to say that people will criticize alcohol when it suits them and not drugs like weed. Personally I've seen more people as a percentage get messed up by weed than alcohol, most people I know drink and it has zero affect on their lives, the people that I know that smoke have had very severe effects on their mental health (despite being otherwise healthy and sometimes even quite successful). Anyway kudos if you read all this ramble. Love to Joe, he's still the GOAT!

  2. from the age of 16 i was a heavy weed user, dabbled in MDMA and LSD at least 5 times. when my grandmother died in 2020, 6 months later i had my first psychosis episode. i quit weed and quit it all. but didnt follow through with treatment for psychosis because i felt healthy again. fast forward april 2021 i had another episode of psychosis, i lost friends who didnt understand or want to support me. and the pain of that as well as falling on my ass again made me take my mental health seriously. i havent had another episode of psychosis since then. im 3 yrs now doing well. but i now have a life long illness of schizoaffective disorder (bipolar and schizophrenia). im actually doing the best i have in years for that im grateful. point is we need more education and research into this.
