He keeps trying to get away from that theory, I noticed, through the whole clip. He just doesn't want to believe it, or he doesn't want anyone else to believe it. How can he believe in evolution, and not believe that psychodelics can help to evolve how the brain operates? It makes me wonder. Is he just that closed minded or is there something he has to gain? He DID mention his book, which, tbh, I'm so fucking tired of hearing guys like this saying "my book! My book! MY BOOK!"
Shut the fuck up about your book! If you REALLY give a shit about the conversation, save your fucking book till the end. Stop going on these podcasts JUST to talk about your book. You make yourself look like an asshole. And a lot of you are..
Psychedelics are just an amazing discovery. It's quite fascinating how effective they are for depression and stress..saved my life.
i remember when i was in 8th grade my friend was trying to convert me to christ and 14 year old me who watched this one day before her taking me to the church and the pastor asked me what i believe him and i proceeded to explain this to him
Makes for an interesting speculative story to tell people and sell books, and as much as McKenna is useful I find myself thinking "so what?". It's too far removed from where we are now to matter.
Why did the mushroom left the pizza?
Because he was the only funguy..
